Business Analyst with API

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with experience, including hands-on exposure to API-driven environments. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, with a strong understanding of API functionalities, data flows, and integration processes.

·      Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

·      Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications, particularly for API integrations.

·      Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure solutions align with business goals.

·      Analyze and map data between systems to support API-based integrations and workflows.

·      Create and maintain user stories, use cases, and process flows.

·      Conduct impact analysis, gap analysis, and feasibility assessments for new or changing API requirements.

·      Support end-to-end testing efforts including defining test cases, verifying data accuracy, and coordinating UAT.

·      Assist in API documentation review and enhancement for internal and external consumption.

·      Identify opportunities to improve business processes and propose system enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

·      Experience as a Business Analyst in a technology or product-driven environment.

·      Proven experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML data formats, and API documentation (e.g., Swagger, Postman).

·      Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·      Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·      Basic understanding of system architecture, integrations, and data flow diagrams.

·      Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and business process modeling tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

·      Background in domains like fintech, e-commerce, or SaaS platforms is a plus.

·      Exposure to SQL and understanding of relational databases.

·      Experience working with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Mulesoft) is a plus.
